I teamed up with my mentor, the garden designer Joanna Herald, to co-design this garden, and now I get to be the head gardener here. I really enjoy working with nature and the seasons, swapping out plants when necessary and getting everything ready for parties. I prune and train plants making sure things go to the plan while observing nature and taking its lead when something unexpected and exiting happens!

In this garden, I really pay attention to what’s going on. After taking it over from some gardeners who just let machines do the work, I’ve spent time observing how everything grows. I let the perennials and shrubs take their natural shape instead of forcing them into stiff forms. I’m always tinkering around, replanting seedlings, and making sure the garden stays lively and true to its natural vibe.
