ABOUT ME

My name is Dagmara Cetkowska, I am a gardener and  garden designer with a background in Photography from Goldsmith University, London. With three years of invaluable experience working alongside  garden designer Joanna Herald, I’ve honed my skills and developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of gardens that balance a wild, haphazard aesthetic with meticulous maintenance.

My design philosophy revolves around creating gardens that embrace the ever-changing, evolving nature of the natural world. I firmly believe that a garden is a living entity, and I help my clients understand and appreciate this dynamic process. Through my expertise, I craft outdoor spaces that allow the changing seasons to take center stage, ensuring your garden is never dull.

In my designs, I emphasize the interplay of light, shadows, and the gentle caress of the wind. These elements help me to create and enhance natural beauty in a garden, transforming it into a living canvas. Additionally, I’m dedicated to sustainability, and I always strive to incorporate local materials and craftsmanship into my designs. By supporting local artisans and utilising nearby resources, I not only create beautiful gardens but also contribute to the preservation of the environment and the surrounding community.
Alongside my work in garden design, I currently serve as the head gardener for four residential gardens in Blackheath and Greenwich. This hands-on experience allows me to further deepen my understanding of plant life and garden care, ensuring that my designs are not only visually stunning but also practical and sustainable for your outdoor spaces.

If you share my love for gardens that mimic the wild while remaining thoughtfully maintained, please get in touch so we can talk about your future garden or your maintenance plan.

ABOUT THE PROCESS

I firmly believe that creating a harmonious garden is a collaborative journey. I take the time to understand your unique vision, feel the essence of the space, and connect with it on a profound level. If you’re interested in discussing the potential of your garden design, I’d be delighted to meet you in person. We can have a chat, allowing you to gauge if my style aligns with your vision.

Should you decide to move forward, I will provide a complimentary initial consultation, during which I’ll create a brief and proposal. This document will outline the next steps, including details about fees and my work schedule. I believe in transparency, and this initial phase is absolutely free of charge.
